Submitting Application for DEI Course

To increase diversity among UC San Diego courses and encourage the development of new courses, Senate faculty may be provided $1,500 for new or substantially revised courses approved by UGC to fulfill the DEI requirement. To receive this funding, you must submit a DEI mini grant proposal highlighting the course development and budget, which is to be submitted alongside the syllabus, eCourse form, and other materials outlined in the DEI response form. Up to 10 new courses will be supported annually. Please review the most recent call for DEI course proposals from Fall 2024 or the academic senate office website for more information on submitting a proposal for a DEI course.
